Winter 4x4 Jamboree

Winter 4x4 Jamboree is an annual event held in Hurricane, Utah. All proceeds are donated to land-use organizations and others.

The next event is January 14 - 17, 2026 Winter 4x4 Jamboree is an annual off-road event held in January. The event is sponsored by the Desert Roads and Trails Society. Come get out of the snow and cold and come to sunny Hurricane, Utah to visit the Hurricane Sand Dunes and Sand Hollow State Park! Winter 4x4 Jamboree is organized and run by some very dedicated volunteers from the non-profit 501(c)(3) Desert Roads and Trails Society (Desert RATS) with significant assistance from the Utah Public Lands Alliance (UPLA) and others. All proceeds from the event are donated. We usually donate to UPLA, Utah 4 Wheel Drive Association, Washington County Search and Rescue and Share Trails/Blue Ribbon Coalition. In 2021, we donated $55,000 and contributed to the new staging area going in at the water tanks near Sand Hollow. These organizations work tirelessly for you to keep our trails open and available to our sport. Washington County Search and Rescue has an ongoing presence during the Jamboree - and we really appreciate them!

We hope to see you there!

If you love off-roading, enjoy wheeling with friends, and giving back to the community come and get all the information about Winter 4x4 Jamboree hosted by Desert Roads and Trails Society.

This yearly event brings our off-road community together AND gives back. Winter 4x4 Jamboree is a non-profit event focused on raising funds and protecting trail access.

In 2026, we were able to donate $90,000 in total. Our public land organizations: 40 K to BlueRibbon Coalition, 10 K to Utah 4 Wheel Drive Association, 10 K to Utah Public Lands Alliance, 18K to Washington County SAR and 12K to community outreach.

DRATS does more than put on an event that brings people together, we also support this off-road community nationally by raising funds for UPLA and locally by supporting UPLA, U4WDA, our amazing local SAR team, and the community.

Let’s welcome back DRATS – Desert Roads And Trails Society - Desert RATS to the 2026 TREAD Off-Road Expo!

DRATS is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization built around one mission—protecting and preserving off-road access while keeping the community strong.

These are the people behind the Winter 4x4 Jamboree one of the biggest off-road events in Southern Utah—bringing thousands of riders together while raising serious money to keep trails open and public lands accessible.

But it doesn’t stop at events.
They’re out there building staging areas, installing trail signage, funding projects, and organizing cleanups to keep places like Sand Hollow alive and rideable for the next generation.

They work alongside groups like UPLA and BlueRibbon Coalition, helping fund and support the fight to protect the trails we all use.

Because without groups like DRATS…
those trails?
They don’t last.

Make sure you stop by, meet the team, and support the ones fighting to keep our trails open.
