Late post!!
I got invited out to Kuest Ranch to help my buddy Alex and Jared guide a hunt with a great group of guys from North Texas. This group was the best groups I’ve ever helped guide. They do a lot of big white tail hunting in different parts of the US and didn’t do much exotic hunting. I guided a gentleman named Berman and he killed a nice 30” axis in velvet. We froze are tails off getting this big stud. His daughter in law wanted a black buck so we went after that. We climb in the stand and hear a shot and a few mins later her husband texted her say he killed her black buck. It was a 18” blackbuck. She was not upset but not happy. I looked at her and said well girl I guess we better kill one bigger than his. After a long stand off we finally had a very nice blackbuck show his face. He would never come out of the brush line. He got with in about 80 yards and stop and she dropped the hammer on this stud. He ran about 30 yards and he folded up in some cedar trees! We walked up to him and he measured out to be 19 1/4 inches!! She was so happy that she killed a big animal than her husband. Thank you for the good time and the new friendship we will carry on in the future. Thanks to Kuest Ranch Alex and Jared for having me out there to help out. What a great hunt!!!
