You’re gonna love this downstream, shaded Creekside stroll (after you park at the amphitheater). .duval.plants and found more than 25 (mostly native) plants and many are in beautiful BLOOM. You could not ask for a nicer stroll along Strawberry Creek … just downstream from the Amphitheater. Follow the path to discover this month’s hidden garden and seating area next to the path. HURRY- water is still flowing and you won’t want to miss this nature bathing opportunity.

I love stopping to check in on our community (soon-to-be) fledglings. Have your Stellar’s Jays left the nest yet??? Dawn has assured them a soft landing with pillows and blankets on the railing below the nest. So darn cute! Mama and daddy are having a hard time keeping up on the feedings though.

There’s nothing better than the sound of a babbling brook when you’re looking to unwind and relax. Even a few minutes sitting on a rock by the creek can do wonders, don’t you think??? “Nature bathing” is at its best here in the WILDS. 😍

The monkey flower is always such a shocking yellow surprise when it pops up on my rocky hillside near the PumpHouse. Did you know there are two types of yellow monkey flowers here in the San Jacintos? Learn about these and so many MORE at the ANNUAL WILDFLOWER FESTIVAL from 10 TO 3 at the IDYLLWILD NATURE CENTER BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY!!! 😍 Lots of local artisans too.

More than 80 specimens SO FAR have been collected by our fabulous volunteers that have out hunting in the San Jacintos for these popular wildflowers. Stop by this weekend to take a look from 10 to 3 on both Saturday and Sunday… Lots of other local artisans and vendors around too!!!
