Octavia Wells, 41, from Bay County, has been accused of sending a text requesting to buy fentanyl before she headed out of town. But instead of sending it to her local dealer, she allegedly mistakenly forwarded the message to a narcotics investigator at her local sheriff’s office.

Police seized the chance to go undercover and set up a ‘sale of fentanyl’ with Wells, according to Atlanta New First. She was told to visit a gas station where she thought she would be picking up the drugs.

But she was greeted instead by members of the local law enforcement authority and arrested. Wells has since been charged with unlawful use of a two-way communication device, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving with a suspended license.

A 16-year-old from Florida was kidnapped, killed and dismembered by a couple after meeting a man through social media, authorities said.

Steven Gress, 35, was arrested and is charged with kidnapping Miranda Corsette in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Authorities said his partner, 37-year-old Michelle Brandes, turned herself in on Saturday morning.

During the investigation, detectives learned that Corsette was allegedly lured through a social media app to meet Gress, police said. Evidence gathered indicates the body was dismembered and placed in a dumpster, police said. Officers said they located the dumpster and are working to find the body.
