We’ve reflected a lot about the upcoming Independence Day and what it really means to be an American. To us, it’s really at the core the ideals of those unalienable Rights: Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. But those aren’t always easily attainable by each and every person right now, and none of them can be realized when someone is trying to focus first on things like alleviating hunger
So this market Saturday we have decided not to have big sales and lots of colorful products, but instead to donate 10% of all our sales to an org fighting hunger and providing support to our market communities. For Douglass Loop, we will be donating to Louisville Grows. For Broad Ripple the donation will go to Second Helpings. We hope the gifts will help them continue their work in social justice and healing injuries in our communities.
