Feedback from some clients who just returned from Belize...I couldn't have said it better myself!

Belize was good to us. 💚

JR and I enjoyed our first vacation together in years. Thanks to our parents for dividing the time and watching our babies so we could get away. We celebrated our 5th and 6th wedding anniversary, along with JRs bday! Vitamin D, fresh lobster and Belizean rum were on the menu daily. We visited Shark Ray Alley, Belize, Secret Beach, Ambergris Caye, and Caye Caulker - Belize. We swam with sea turtles, fed nurse sharks and I even finished an entire book 📚 perfect way to end 2021! If anyone is considering Belize for their next destination vacation, we can’t say enough wonderful things about it. 🌴 🌞

In honor of my birthday, I cut out early to enjoy a craft beer at a new brewery in Fountain Square...Brew Dog.

I have to say their Lost Lager is mighty tasty.

"Reunited and it feels so good"...it is what families are doing these days after a long delay with COVID.

Reunion travel surged after 9/11 and is having a Kumbaya moment again.

I'm happy to report that Rocky Mountaineer Rail Journeys has expanded into the US.

Up until now, they have only operated their trains in Canada, but due to demand (and the desire of Americans to travel in their own backyard due to COVID), they have opened up a route between Colorado and Utah.

No requirements for now...this would certainly impact the economy if implemented.

President Biden was pressed on recently announced international travel mandates, requiring all air travelers to the US to test negative within one day of their flight.

Important Clarification on the new 24-Hour Testing Rule When Returning to the US:

Do you have to get the test exactly 24 hours before travel?

No. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s policy specifies that travelers must get tested one day before the flight’s departure, but does not say it has to be exactly 24 hours before.

“The Order uses a 1-day time frame instead of 24 hours to provide more flexibility to the air passenger and aircraft operator,” the CDC says. “By using a 1-day window, test acceptability does not depend on the time of the flight or the time of day that the test sample was taken.”

That means if your flight is at 1 p.m. on a Friday, you could board with a negative test that was taken any time on the prior Thursday.

What a great way to start my week. I just received this feedback from my clients currently in Belize staying at my favorite resort:

Hey, Dave!

Thanks for checking in. We are never coming home 😅 this place couldn’t be more amazing. We couldn’t have dreamt up a better vacation. Victoria House is beautiful, sanitary and the customer service is outstanding. San Pedro is full of culture and it’s a lot safer than we thought.

We went to secret beach yesterday. It was a fun, bumpy, adventurous 45 minute golf cart ride- but so worth it.

I posted about travel credit cards recently and I wanted to share with all you one of the cards I have.

Since I travel frequently, having access to a lounge at airports is very important to me. Although Delta is my preferred airline, I can't always fly with them, so I wanted access to lounges at a variety of airports both foreign and domestic.

I found the perfect card for that. It's the Chase Sapphire Reserve Visa as it comes with access to Priority Pass Lounges (see pictures).

I have found these lounges at many airports around the world and it's so nice to escape the chaos of the airport, work a bit and enjoy some food and drinks.

I recommend looking into it!
