Headed to Nashville next week 🎶✈️

I’ll be attending the 2026 TAMS Conference (Travel Advisors Mid-South) Thursday through Sunday and I’m genuinely excited about this one.

Yes, we’re based in the Midwest… but our clients are everywhere. So getting in rooms like this matters.

What really drew me in? My people.

This industry can feel big, but having a trusted circle of travel professionals you can learn from, lean on, and grow with is everything. I’ve been blessed with just that & I’m excited for us to come together next week!

During this conference, I’ll be connecting with some favorite suppliers, discovering new ones, and sitting in on sessions that challenge and inspire how I show up for our agency.

But honestly? I’m most looking forward to being in a space surrounded by others who just get it.

Looking for things to do in Ketchikan, Alaska? Start here. 🌲

We booked a 7:00 AM rainforest and wildlife tour in Ketchikan and here’s what made it unforgettable…

It was just me and my son. No group. No crowd.

And still… our guide showed up.

Many tours have a minimum guest count. If it’s not met, they cancel. But not this one. He also caps his tours to at 10 guests so it never truly feels crowded!

This experience with Wildview Alaska Tours was personal from the start. Walking through the Tongass National Rainforest, exploring quiet beaches, spotting wildlife… it felt less like a standardized tour and more like being shown around by someone who truly loves where they live. That kind of passion sticks with you.

The best part? After our tour, we still had the rest of the day to explore downtown Ketchikan!

We’ve been home for 2 weeks now and my son still talks about “Mr. Jordan” almost daily.

School is where the books are 😉

For our family, it’s never just a trip. No matter where we go, we’re intentional about immersing our children in the culture, history, and real experiences of that place.

“Worldschooling” has taken on a lot of meanings lately, and while we love the idea, it doesn’t fully define us. We haven’t packed up our lives to travel full time… though I wouldn’t be mad at it.

After years of pouring into other students, I made the decision to homeschool my own children. That created space for two things I care deeply about to come together: education and experiencing the world around us.

And honestly, that’s been one of the greatest gifts.

We’re excited to connect with other homeschool families this weekend and share how travel has become a part of our children’s learning journey.

Ketchikan… wow 🐟🌲

Yesterday was one of those days where the little moments just keep replaying in your head. Truly an AMAZING day.

Now, I’ve heard people say Ketchikan can feel crowded, and they’re not wrong. It’s a small town that welcomes over a million visitors each year.

But that wasn’t our experience at all.

We spent the morning on a beautiful, easy hike with a phenomenal family-owned business (1000/10 👏🏽 I’ll definitely be sharing more on that later), and it set the tone for the whole day.

After that, we explored downtown and fully leaned into the tourist experience… which apparently means trying all things salmon 😄
Even the viral salmon donut.

With the exception of waiting on our shuttle, we never felt overwhelmed by crowds. just completely immersed in the charm of this little port town.

I can’t wait to dive deeper into Ketchikan and share my personal recommendations.

Sea day views 🛳️

Yesterday was all about slowing down, exploring the ship, and enjoying some built-in fun. It was the perfect reminder of why I chose Royal Caribbean for an Alaska cruise.

There truly is something for everyone, and the balance is just right. Whether you want to stay active, keep the kids entertained, or just relax and take it all in… it works.

We spent the day checking things out, getting settled in, and resting up for the full week ahead.

Alaska starts now ✨

We made it 🛳️✨

After a long travel day yesterday, my son and I officially boarded Ovation of the Seas and are getting ready to set sail from Vancouver!

In May 2027, I’ll be hosting a group cruise to Alaska, and I knew I couldn’t invite others to experience something I hadn’t fully experienced myself first. So here we are…exploring, learning, and taking it all in (together 💙).

We’re kicking things off in Vancouver, and I already have one big tip: if you can, come in a day early. We visited Capilano Suspension Bridge before boarding and WOW… worth it.

Over the next week, we’ll be sailing through Alaska with stops in:

📍 Sitka
📍 Hubbard Glacier
📍 Seward
📍Anchorage
