We are a family owned and operated, catch-and-clean charter service that is fun for all ages! Flatwater Adventures LLC was created by Captain Garrett Tedder and his fiancee Sydney Dowling in December of 2024. We target red drum and speckled trout (plus various other saltwater species depending on the time of year). Captain Garrett has been fishing and boating out of the Waccasassa River area since

he was old enough to hold a fishing pole, and now that he has his captain's license he wants to share his passion for inshore fishing and the beauty of Old Florida with anyone who will come along for the ride! Affordable, catch and clean charters where the captain cleans all your fish at the dock free of charge! There are rooms available for rent to clients at the place where we will launch. This charter experience is unique and accommodating - we want everybody to have full coolers and full hearts at a very affordable price. Despite the 2 hour rain delay yesterday morning we still got it done! 🎣

Lots of reds and triple tail, just had to w**d through a few to get some keepers. Then we went on the hunt for trout, made a few drifts and smoked em! Some really nice trout in the mix.

Can’t complain at all, the fish are chewing great right now in Waccasassa! 🔥🎣

Another awesome morning on the water! The fish were chewing early, and I stayed busy baiting hooks and putting clients on fish. The wind picked up later in the morning and slowed the bite down a little, but these guys kept at it and we still put together a nice mixed box of fish. Redfish, trout, and even a bonus shark made for a day they won’t forget.

Nothing beats sending clients home with fresh fish and big smiles. We definitely caught enough to stink up the grease! Thanks again, guys I had a blast fishing with y’all.

Me and Jim headed out this morning to check and bait some pinfish traps. We brought a little bait with us to see if we could get tight before getting to work, and the fish were hungry!

Ended up catching a 30” redfish and a 39” black drum, then got on a school of slot reds. Couldn’t ask for a better Friday morning on the water. That’s what it’s all about!

The past two days have been great! Today we had to work a little harder, but we found some quality fish. Even with the wind blowing around 20 mph, this crew put together a great catch with several nice upper-slot redfish and a few trout.

Mr. Dale and I went this morning for about three hours to chase some reds, and they didn’t disappoint, starting the day off with a nice 30” red, then followed by a nice snook. We ended up getting close to 20 reds and a couple of bonus snook. Red fishing is hot and getting better and better. Half-day morning trips are available to try and beat the heat. I had the pleasure of chartering with my valued client, Joe, on Fridays. He books me monthly to assist him in purchasing groceries!! We successfully landed several beautiful red fish and some quality fish in the upper slots. Additionally, we caught a few trout and finished the day with an exciting session targeting a school of jacks - it's always thrilling to witness their feeding frenzy and hear the drag scream. On Saturday, my father, Jim, and I embarked on a trip to catch snapper and hog fish. Despite the challenging weather conditions, with a stormy morning and windy afternoon, we achieved our goals.
