📣 Basecamp Resort Update: A Call for Support & Solidarity

Like many in our community, we’ve felt the impact of recent events. While we sustained minimal damage compared to our neighbors, we’ve had thousands of dollars in cancellations. A few incredible families with ties to the area have stood by us—thank you❤️

Now, we’re shifting our focus from guests to giving back.

We’re opening our doors to locals displaced from their homes and volunteers arriving to provide aid. These stays will be completely donated—we believe everyone deserves a safe, peaceful place to rest in times like this.

To make this possible, we need your help.

We’re seeking donations to keep our operations running so we can continue providing shelter and support. Any contributions beyond our needs will go directly toward helping local families rebuild and recover.

Parents are praising counselors for saving hundreds of lives as Texas floodwaters inundated Camp La Junta, which is located just miles away from Camp Mystic, where at least 27 campers and counselors died.

Thank you to all who have reached out to check on us! We are fine and Basecamp is fine, but so many aren’t. Please keep our community in your prayers. Many are still missing. This will not be a quick fix. The first video is along Hwy 39 from Hunt to Ingram. The second video and the car in the tree is from Basecamp’s river access.
