Yes, and it’s officially coming back!

Dinner with Santa at The Cake Bake Shop is a special reservation-only holiday experience at Disney’s BoardWalk, and after experiencing it last year, I can tell you it is every bit as beautiful as it looks.

I’m also feeling incredibly blessed because I received an early invitation to experience it again this year, and I’M GOING BACK! 🤍

I cannot wait to take you along again this year.

The pictures were cute, but they don’t tell the whole story. 🤍

I LOVE dressing up for Disney. Give me a theme and I’m probably going to plan an entire outfit around it. And I absolutely loved my Gracen costume for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

But here’s what you didn’t see in these pictures…

It was August. It was HOT. The party was very busy, and at some point that night, I was completely overstimulated. The heat, the crowds, the noise and being in a costume finally became too much.

So I took it off.

I bought a Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party T-shirt, threw on my running shorts and kept going.

And guess what? I still had an amazing night.

I think sometimes social media makes us feel like every Disney day needs the perfect outfit, perfect hair, perfect pictures and the perfect plan.

It doesn’t.

If you’re hot, change your clothes. If you’re overwhelmed, find somewhere quiet. If you need a break, take one. If the plan isn’t working anymore, change the plan.

You didn’t spend all that money and travel all that way to be uncomfortable just so the pictures look good.

Wear the comfy clothes. Mess up your hair. Take off the costume.

The magic isn’t in looking perfect.

It’s in actually enjoying where you are. 🤍

My favorite trick-or-treat trail at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year was hands down the Hitchhiking Ghosts! 👻

I loved it SO much that I actually made a point to come back one more time before the end of the night.

You can find them inside the Diamond Horseshoe in Liberty Square, and trust me, don’t skip this one! Between the characters, the atmosphere, and getting a little candy, this was easily one of my favorite stops of the entire party.

Consider this your big sister Hollywood Studios advice ✨

I LOVE this park, but it’s definitely one where knowing a few things before you go can make your day so much easier.

Check those height requirements, have a loose plan for your must-do rides, don’t sleep on the shows, and PLEASE give yourself time to slow down and actually enjoy the details.

You don’t need to plan every second. You just need to know a few things before you walk through those gates.

Port Orleans Riverside. 🤍

It’s a Moderate Resort, but staying in a Royal Guest Room gives it that little extra touch that almost feels Deluxe.

The Royal Guest Rooms are located in Magnolia Bend and sleep up to four with two queen beds. You’ll find Princess Tiana-inspired details throughout the room, including some of my favorite details… the headboards that light up with their own little fireworks display. ✨

But one of my FAVORITE things about Riverside is how peaceful it feels. After a long, busy park day, I love coming back to a resort that feels quiet, relaxed and tucked away from everything.

You also have some really good dining options right at the resort, bus transportation to the theme parks, AND a water taxi to Disney Springs.

If you want something a little more elevated than a standard Moderate Resort room without jumping all the way to Deluxe, I think the Royal Guest Rooms are definitely worth looking at.

Disney brought us together, but I truly believe God knew we needed each other.

We may live in different states, but somehow this friendship has become one of those that just feels meant to be. Lindsay, you are truly one of the sweetest people I have ever met. You have the most beautiful soul, the kindest heart, and I’m so thankful that a little Disney magic brought you into my life.

Happy Birthday, Lindsay! I hope today is everything you hoped it would be and so much more. You deserve to be celebrated, loved, and reminded just how special you are.
