🔥 Campfire ban in Voyageurs National Park 🔥

Starting Sunday July 12, 2026 there is a parkwide campfire ban in effect.

Due to high fire danger and active wildfires across northeast Minnesota, Voyageurs National Park is implementing fire restrictions. The restrictions will remain in effect until rescinded. The following restrictions will be in effect throughout the park:

❌ Not Allowed:
Campfires, including within designated fire rings
Charcoal-fueled fires or grills

✅ Allowed:
Gas-and propane-fueled camp stoves, grills, or similar devices

These restrictions are being implemented to reduce the risk of human-caused wildfires and to align with broader state and regional fire management efforts.
