Have you ever thought about rivier cruising? I am just back from Amsterdam after an incredible week at the ASTA River Cruise Expo! 🚢🇳🇱

I had the opportunity to tour 16 river cruise ships and learn about 10 river cruise brands: Uniworld, Tauck, Avalon, AmaWaterways, Riverside, Viking, Riviera, Viva, Emerald, and Scenic. I was able to stay on the gorgeous brand new Uniworld S.S. Emilie and enjoyed lunch and dinner on different ships so I could truly experience the cabins, food, service, and overall atmosphere firsthand. We were given access to tour each ship as well in order to familiarize ourselves with the differing brands.

I also attended multiple educational sessions all about river cruising so I can better help my clients choose the right ship, itinerary, and cruise line for their travel style.

One of the highlights of the week was the keynote speaker, Elizabeth Gilbert, the author of Eat Pray Love, which was incredibly inspiring.

There is no better way to recommend travel than to experience it yourself, and I’m excited to use everything I learned to help my clients plan amazing river cruise vacations. If river cruising is on your bucket list, let’s talk!

I just wrapped up my first (and certainly NOT my last) ASTA River Cruise conference in Amsterdam, along with 1500 travel advisors from around the US.

I deep-dove into 10+ river-cruise lines—and 16 ships-from a luxury Uniworld ship to dining experiences aboard Avalon, Viking, Tauck, Riverside, Viva, and AmaWaterways. I sat in on executive-level sessions and even dined at a Chef’s Table with an AmaWaterways cofounder. We wrapped up last night visiting several ships for evening parties. So.Much.Fun.

It’s been a powerful investment in expanding my ability to pair travelers with the perfect river-cruise experience. There’s truly a brand for every traveler—no single ad tells the whole story.

Have you ever been interested in river cruising? Did you know there are many different brands of river cruises? I am currently in Amsterdam at the premier industry event for all things river cruises. I am sleeping on a ship, will have lunch and dinner on different ships, touring all 16 here in port and then sailing The Rhine to Switzerland on a luxury brand. Seeing the ships and understanding how they are all different is so important for what you want for your experience and I am so thankful to be able to attend this event!

I am finishing up my week on board the beautiful Norwegian Encore. Every year, I get the gift of spending about a week with my travel tribe at our annual conference. We meet with our suppliers, all of whom sail with us to help us learn their product more and to provide support if we need it, or
to simply get to know them better. Some suppliers have become friends, and that’s even better!

While theres plenty of “play”, we do work. We are up and in a conference room with hundreds of agents in our agency by 8am many days, we have our annual awards where we get dressed up and celebrate achievements but mostly, for me, it’s about connecting with like minded friends that I miss daily as I work alone at home.

It “fills my tank” as I meet and hang out with everyone. We do have fun, there’s plenty of that as well, but with a sometimes very stressful job that we have, we deserve it.

Heading from Orlando to Miami on the amazing Brightline train. Boarding the NCL encore Saturday to spend the week with several hundred of other travel agents from my host agency and suppliers that inusenin my business for some learning and some fun. Always a fun conference!! 🛳️
