✨ Chasing the Northern Lights in Ironwood ✨

Few things compare to watching the Aurora Borealis dance across the night sky over Lake Superior. From the shores of Little Girls Point to Black River Harbor, Superior Falls, and the Porcupine Mountains, the Western U.P. offers some of the best dark-sky viewing in the Midwest. 🌌🌊

Clear skies, a little patience, and a bit of luck can reward you with an unforgettable show of green, purple, and pink lights shimmering above the lake. The best viewing season typically runs from late summer through spring, with peak opportunities often in April, October, and November.

🎶 THANK YOU FOR SHOWING UP, IRONWOOD! 🎶

To everyone who came out to enjoy the music, dance, sing along, support the artists, visit the vendors, and spend the weekend with us—thank you.

The energy, smiles, and support from our community and visitors are what make The U.P. Beat Music & Arts Festival so special. Seeing Downtown Ironwood filled with music lovers all weekend long created an atmosphere we’ll never forget.

A special thank you to all of the incredible musicians who shared their talents with us, including Michael Glabicki of Rusted Root, Quasi Kings, People Brothers Band, LowDown Brass Band, Tall Tall Trees, Rucksack Revolution, Saltydog & Friends, Davey & The Midnights, Teague Alexy, Sunset Rooster, Twine, Dandelion Delivery Service, Driftless Revelers, Adam Greuel, Dirk Miller, and Keaton Thandi.

Thank you to our artists, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers for helping bring the festival to life and creating such an amazing experience for everyone who attended.

Most of all, thank you to every person who spent part of their Memorial Day weekend with us. Your support is what makes The U.P. Beat possible, and we can’t wait to see you again next year. ❤️
