Michelin starred dim sum from Hong Kong, and it is right here in Irvine. Tim Ho Wan USA opened in Hong Kong back in 2009 and earned a Michelin star for doing one thing exceptionally well: gourmet Cantonese dim sum at prices that actually make sense. There are no dim sum carts here either, so every dish is made fresh to order, and you can taste it in the baked BBQ pork buns and the shrimp rice rolls. Do not sleep on the drinks either, the lemon tea, milk teas and premium Chinese teas are worth the trip on their own.
They are also hosting The Taste of Hong Kong: Mid-Autumn Celebration at the Irvine location on Tuesday, September 22 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Expect handcrafted dim sum, Mid-Autumn traditions, interactive games and cultural experiences, plus exclusive merch and special offerings from Hong Kong brand partners. This summer, New Swan Shakespeare Festival returns to UC Irvine with two unforgettable productions: "Romeo & Juliet" and "The Merry Wives of Windsor Cove."

Experience Shakespeare's timeless tale of love and hope in a Dust Bowl-era reimagining of "Romeo & Juliet", and enjoy the laughs, music, and beach-town charm of "The Merry Wives of Windsor Cove", a lively 1950s SoCal surf-town musical adaptation.

Performed in New Swan's intimate open-air Elizabethan-style theater, these productions offer a truly unique way to enjoy a summer evening in Irvine.
