Bill Dean, one of our best program architects, brings deep expertise in Major Defense Acquisition Programs, flight tests, systems engineering, and technical volume development for aircraft programs.

His aviation journey began early, leading him to study engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute before joining the U.S. Air Force. He graduated from the USAF Test Pilot School and spent 22 years in service, including 11 years on the groundbreaking Advanced Tactical Fighter and F-22 programs.

After retiring from the Air Force, Bill joined SMA: The Program Lifecycle Company. He has supported long-term efforts with Lockheed Martin, Boeing, General Atomics, and Bell Textron. His first project was a 14-month assignment on the C-130 Avionics Modernization Program.

What drives Bill is simple: partnering with clients on cutting-edge aviation systems and helping deliver new capabilities that matter.
