When Life Changes, the Right Home Can Make a Difference
This story is especially close to our hearts ❤️ Rick Robinson is a valued member of the ManufacturedHomes.com family. He and his wife, Linda, found themselves facing changes in life that neither of them had planned for. Their story demonstrates something incredibly important about today’s manufactured housing: a home can be designed to meet you exactly where you are.
When you custom-order a manufactured home, there are opportunities to incorporate accessibility and aging-in-place features from the beginning—thoughtful floor plans, wider doorways and hallways, accessible showers and bathrooms, easier entries, and other ADA-friendly design considerations that can make everyday life safer and more manageable.
For Rick and Linda, these weren’t simply upgrades or options on a list. They were changes that mattered. And that’s what makes their story so meaningful to us. When life changed, people came together to help create a home where Rick and Linda could be safer, more comfortable, and continue living life together.
Their home is also a powerful reminder of what custom-built manufactured housing can make possible. Building a home in a controlled factory environment doesn’t mean giving up customization. It can provide the opportunity to think about accessibility, mobility, and long-term needs before the home is ever built.
