Anyone else see a bit of a disconnect here?Our county government through property taxes can legally take our money, yet after numerous request to improve their website and be transparent, cannot get a budget uploaded to the site so that I can see how you spend my money.

As citizens WE have got to hold our elected officials accountable and demand transparency!

Mayor and council have a big week planned for Georgia City’s Week next week.

Monday will be Staff Appreciation Day. Stop by City Hall and show some love to the people that keep our city going every day!

Tuesday will be Souvenir Day from 12 to 2 at City Hall. Stop by City Hall for free city swag!

Thursday will be our Dumpster Day. Dumpsters will be set up around the city, so do a little clean up! Give city hall a call if you need help with transport and they’ll help you out.

Friday is Townhall in the Park from 5 to 7. Free hotdogs and hamburgers, and hopefully bouncy houses for the kids.

Mark your calendars! It’s going to be a week of fun and celebration!
