De Wayne doesn’t fish the salt water that often, but when he does, he brings all the luck and skill. What a day he had in September on the Kay K IV.

Last year we caught plenty of mahi out of a school of fish we found and called a group of guys over on a center console boat to catch some too. This year those same guys came down to Islamorada to fish and had a little problem with one of their motor’s. So they returned the favor by booking a last minute charter on the Kay K IV. We struggled finding mahi yesterday, but we did catch a limit of Blackfin tuna and 14 yellowtail snappers. We had a great time and traded techniques. I hope they get their boat fixed soon.

Yesterday was definitely a tough day. Fished out to 1200’ and only found a lot of pretty water. We didn’t come home empty handed though. The gang aboard the Kay K IV came back with dinner and smiles.

The Harold family has fished with us for a few years now and always seem to get it done. Today was no different with a nice Blackfin tuna , several yellowtail snappers, and a couple of sailfish. Can’t wait to do it again.
