As hard as this Post is to Write…

- Captains Log - (Last Entry for Post 46)

I can drive anything - cars, boats, motorcycles anything… but I fall in love fastest with the dream to fish on a gorgeous vessel, well this time it bit me hard by listening to my dreamer side instead of my business side.

That temptation that was hard to say no, so okay let’s give it a shot I said! I got sold a Dream… an opportunity from the start to completion to catching fish of a beautiful Sportfish to full charter service.

This was my DreamBoat. She was a thrill to captain, and a thrill to fish on but I spent a lot of time at the dock / boatyard due to mechanical failure. A lot of promises that never happened, a drained pocket in the RED and other very bad business decisions have left me no other option but to step down off my captains chair of this vessel and dissolve all business relations with Minncraft Boatworks.

I am really going to miss this vessel but I am grateful for the experience and the opportunity to be her captain for the past seven months.

Plans for the future - 🤷‍♀️ Fishing! Adventures? Another boat YES… another adventure YES… Stay Tuned, can’t keep me down long 😂 .

I am the original Blue Water Girl Charters and I’ve built this dream and business for 6 years on this little island chain of the Upper Keys that I love so much! It’s passion that drives me… No one will take that away from me or who I am.

It’s best is to just stop, take a breath and really see what’s happening… and figure out how to pick up the pieces.

You know what they say, calm seas never made a good captain…
