A number of esteemed friends on this list hail from the historic Miami Beach Rod and Reel Club, which was founded in the 1920s. It is evident how challenging it was to become a Master Angler by the number of anglers who achieved that status rat the Club over a 90 year period. It was a huge hurt when it finally closed its doors. It was housed in the former Al Capone Club on Hibiscus Island on Miami Beach. My dates may be a little off.

Nice day plug fishing with Steve Thomas. Lots of rays with big jacks and reds following them. The plug was eaten as soon as it hit the water. We also caught a lot of trout later in the day despite a weakish incoming tide. Beautiful day!

Wonderful visit with the kids. Good fishing, fun pool time and delicious meals and deserts for which I am paying the price. New Years Resolution to come. Rae had the washing machine and drier working full time. We will miss them!

Wonderful day playing golf with Don Elliot and Gary Lubel. Gary was visiting us in Linville Ridge for the day. The weather was absolutely beautiful.

Windy wet day, but always a treat to Josh with my bother. We caught several snook, some large Jack crevalles, and this huge trout. Fun day despite the weather!
