⚠️🌴 Spring Break Travel Reminder: Stay Aware When Traveling to Mexico

Spring Break is here, and many travelers will be heading to Mexico for sunshine, beaches, and a good time.
While Mexico is a beautiful destination that welcomes millions of visitors each year, it’s important to travel smart and stay informed.

The U.S. Department of State currently advises travelers to exercise increased caution in Mexico due to crime and security concerns, with advisory levels varying depending on the region.

For Spring Break travelers especially, remember:
✔️ Stick to reputable resorts and well-traveled areas
✔️ Avoid traveling alone at night
✔️ Use trusted transportation (not random taxis)
✔️ Keep family or friends aware of your plans
✔️ Limit alcohol and stay aware of your surroundings

Most trips to Mexico are safe and enjoyable, but being prepared and aware can make all the difference.

Before traveling, I strongly encourage everyone to review the official U.S. Travel Advisory so you understand the specific risks in the area you’re visiting.

🌺Florida Keys Travel News Update🌺

🔔MONROE COUNTY, FL – Tubby’s Creek Bridge on Card Sound Road, built in 1969, is scheduled for replacement starting March 2.

🌺Construction crews will be on-site to perform preliminary project work consisting of clearing vegetation from roadway shoulders and widening the pavement at Tubby’s Creek Bridge on Card Sound Road.
🌺The contractor will close the westbound lane to traffic and set up temporary traffic signals to alternate bi-directional traffic to one lane.
🌺The bridge will remain one lane with alternating traffic for the duration of the project.
🌺Traffic signal timing will be altered in the morning and afternoon to accommodate the additional traffic heading to and from the Ocean Reef community.
🌺Updates will be provided throughout the project’s construction phases. This project has a construction duration of approximately 18 months, weather dependent.

🌺🍋‍🟩The ultimate Florida Keys showdown :

🌺As a Florida Keys native, I grew up with actual Key Lime bushes growing all around me, which means my grandma’s “traditional” Key Lime pie with her famous mile high meringue were basically a food group in our home.

🌺Personally, I prefer my key lime pie nice and tart, with a graham cracker crust.. SANS meringue (shh 🤫don’t tell grandma)
