Art Galleries in Charleston. Charleston has been the inspiration for countless artists over the centuries of its existence. You can stroll around the historic district or harbor and there is a good chance you will spot an artist in action, capturing either a street scene or a water/marsh vista on a canvas.
For galleries open year round, head to the historic Broad Street, French Quarter, State and Church streets, East Bay and Queen streets as well to discover these galleries.
Frist Friday art walks are sponsored by the Charleston Gallery Association. Galleries will be open on the first Friday of the month from 5 pm to 8 pm. Most have complimentary libations and nibbles. A fun and festive scene!
