The Tishomingo County Tourism Council was organized in 1993 under the umbrella of the Tishomingo County Development Foundation. The Board of Directors of the tourism council consists of a fifteen member board, three from each supervisor’s district. The purpose of the council is to work toward attracting visitors, retirees and businesses through advertising, hosting events, mail outs and partnershi

ps with other tourism agencies. We serve on the Board of Director’s of the Mississippi Hills National Heritage Area Alliance and the Natchez Trace Compact. We are also a member of the Mississippi Tourism Association and the Tenn-Tom Tourism Association. We feel that we are located in one of the most beautiful parts of Mississippi, boastful of true southern hospitality, and indeed “One of the Best Kept Secrets of the South.”

We’re just a few days away from a powerful weekend of remembrance in Tishomingo County.

America's Freedom Tribute honors the men and women who served and sacrificed for our country while giving visitors the opportunity to reflect, remember, and pay their respects. The exhibit will be open 24 hours a day throughout the weekend, and admission is free to the public.

🕒 Opening Ceremony: Friday at 2 PM
🕒 Closing Ceremony: Sunday at 4 PM

Community members, veterans, families, and visitors are encouraged to attend and experience this special tribute together.

What a great month of Friday evenings in Downtown Iuka 🌽🍓☀️

We've loved seeing the community come together for the return of the Tishomingo County Farmers Market at Jaybird Park. From fresh produce and homemade bread to live music and food trucks, it's quickly become one of the highlights of summer in Tishomingo County.
