One of the things I absolutely love about Disneyland is its incredibly rich history! Every corner of the park tells a story, starting all the way back on July 17, 1955.

Before the churros, the nighttime spectaculars, and the millions of memories we've all made there, Anaheim was mostly orange groves and big dreams. Walt Disney envisioned a place where adults and children could have fun together—and in just one year of construction, the Magic Kingdom was born.

When you look at this rare view of Sleeping Beauty Castle on opening year, it’s amazing to think how it all began. Walking those same paths today, you can still feel that original 1955 magic and Walt’s vision, even as the park has grown and evolved. It's like stepping into a living time capsule!
