So happy to have the pier open again after being closed for several years do to hurricane damage.

The renovated Jacksonville Beach Pier will reopen to fishing on July 20, 2022 at 7am. The pier will be free and open daily from 7am to 7pm. Public restrooms are available nearby in the adjacent beach parking lot. There will be a limit of 3 fishing rods per person and no cast netting is allowed. The City of Jacksonville has obtained a saltwater fishing license for the pier which covers individuals who fish from the pier.

Jax Beach Pier Rules:

🔹 Limit of 3 fishing rods per person
🔹 No cast netting
🔹 No diving or jumping from pier
🔹 No sitting on railing
🔹 No alcohol
🔹 No bicycles, skateboards or rollerblades
🔹 Do not feed the birds
🔹 No pets (except service animals)
🔹 Please use trash receptacles for all waste
🔹 Hours of Operation: 7am – 7pm

HATCHING SEASON ⚠️🐢🌊 It's that time of year when sea turtle nests start hatching! As beautiful as it is to witness, beachgoers must stay clear of the nests and do their part to ensure the baby turtles make a safe passage to the sea.

Here's a few tips from Beaches Sea Turtle Patrol:
🤳❕ If you do happen to come upon an emerging nest, call The Beaches Sea Turtle Patrol right away if they are not already on site. (904-613-6081)
↔️👣 Keep a respectful distance and stay clear of the path to the sea. It is harmful to the newborns as they try to navigate their way to the ocean to use precious energy dodging obstacles.
🔦🚫 Don't use lights of any kind!
🐶👀 Keep children, dogs and belongings out of their path and away from nest sites!
