Miami International Boat Show 2025 – the biggest yacht show in the world, took place from February 12-16 in Miami and Miami Beach. Over 100,000 visitors, more than 1,000 exhibitors, and an endless display of luxury boats, yachts, and superyachts!

The show spread across six locations: the Miami Beach Convention Center showcased smaller boats and marine gadgets, while Venetian Marina and Yacht Haven Grande Miami were packed with giants like the Pershing GTX 116, Vanquish 70, and Tiara 56 LS. A special highlight was the debut of the sleek Aquila 42 and 46 Coupe power catamarans.

Visitors didn’t just admire the boats—they tested them on the water, joined masterclasses, sipped cocktails in VIP lounges, and even shopped for their future yachts. This floating extravaganza also made waves in the local economy, generating nearly $1 billion!

The next show is in 2026—time to start saving up (for a ticket or a yacht, your choice)!

Why has the entire solo ocean racing scene ultimately been dominated by the French?
On one hand, it’s hard to explain, but on the other, there are plenty of examples.
In 1789, Horace-Bénédict de Saussure invented the cyanometer—a device for measuring the blueness of the sea and sky. Just for fun. He actually invented quite a few other instruments as well.
And in 2024, there are still people making these cyanometers.

В 1789 году Гораций-Бенедикт де Сосюр изобрел цианометр - прибор для определения уровня синевы моря и неба. Просто по приколу, он много ещё каких приборов изобрел.

Inspiring Sailing Journey Around the Azores Islands

Description: Enjoy an unforgettable 7-day sailing adventure around the picturesque Azores Islands
in the Atlantic Ocean. The route begins and ends on São Miguel Island, at the Ponta Delgada base. Distance: 150 nautical miles
Route and Stops:
• Ponta Delgada
• Vila Franca do Campo
• Santa Maria Island (Vila do Porto, Praia Formosa)
• Ponta Delgada
Day 1 - Saturday:
Ponta Delgada - a charming city with a rich history and many attractions, such as the City Gates and the Church of Saint Sebastian. Stroll through the cozy streets, discover the lava caves of Gruta do Carvão, and enjoy local delicacies.

Day 2 - Sunday:
Head to Vila Franca do Campo (13 miles). Visit the unique crater of an extinct volcano, which has turned into a natural pool perfect for snorkeling and diving. This island became popular thanks to the international cliff diving championship.
Day 3 - Monday:
The journey continues to Vila do Porto on Santa Maria Island (50 miles). Here you can watch whales and dolphins, explore unique landscapes, and enjoy beaches with white sand. Don't forget to visit places associated with Christopher Columbus.

Day 4 - Tuesday:
Sail to São Lourenço Bay (12 miles). Enjoy the picturesque nature, vineyards, and natural pools. This corner of the island will give you unforgettable experiences and outdoor relaxation.
Day 5 - Wednesday:
The next stage is Praia Formosa (12 miles), one of the best beaches in the Azores. Here you can relax on the light sand, which is rare for the Azores, and swim in crystal clear waters.
Day 6 - Thursday:
Return to Vila Franca do Campo (52 miles). Explore historic buildings, churches, and chapels, learn more about local culture, and enjoy hot springs and the volcanic lake of Lagoa do Fogo.

Day 7 - Friday:
The final stage of the route is returning to Ponta Delgada (12 miles). Sum up your unforgettable journey, enjoy the last moments on board, and get ready to head home.
