A recent interaction reminded me of something important.

Many travelers think a travel advisor’s job is to find the lowest price.

But that’s only one small piece of what I do.

Anyone can search for a cruise online.

What many people are really looking for is confidence.

Confidence that they’re choosing the right ship.

Confidence they’re getting the right cabin.

Confidence they understand the options, promotions, and trade-offs.

Confidence that if something goes wrong, they have someone in their corner.

Price matters.

Of course it does.

But price and value aren’t always the same thing.

The cruise is the product.

Confidence is the value.

Not rushing. Not packing. Not running around. Just: ocean views, coffee slowly in the morning, a good book, lunch outside, a nap, a sunset, a calm evening onboard. Honestly? This is why so many cruisers become obsessed with sea days. You finally slow down enough to actually enjoy being away.

Most people don’t realize cruise cabins can vary wildly… even within the SAME category.
Not all balcony cabins are equal 👀 Some have obstructed views, tiny balconies, loud locations, connecting doors, awkward layouts, or long walks everywhere. And others? Absolute hidden gems. This is one of the biggest reasons cabin selection matters so much more than people realize.

Most people don’t realize “good service” feels different on different cruise lines.

And once you experience the difference… you notice it everywhere. Some cruise lines focus on energy and entertainment. Others focus more on personalization, atmosphere, pacing, and anticipatory service. Neither is automatically “better.” But one may fit YOU much better than the other.
