Come pan for real gold at the only historic, hands-on, interactive program, located at a bend on of of the richest gold-bearing creeks deep in the heart of the California Motherload, known world wide as the Jimtown 1849 Mining Camp. students will enhance their connection to the past through the experience of living history.

History Of the gold fields in California:
Of course the price of gold has gone up just a bit... Btw ... The price for bullion gold is at $1411.00 today🙂🕺🏻🤞

In October 1851, a miner named Reynolds found his claim in Holden‘s garden, Sonora, a nugget weighing 28 1/4 pounds and worth over $6000.

Our first school for the year at JIM TOWN 1849 MINING CAMP,Went off with a bang "everyone went home with gold "GOOD GOING, "St Hillary.

Were looking forward seeing Santa Catalna for the 24year. Starting with there first panning adventure being an in class visit from Ms Michelle Morton,Who has been coming to Jimtown ever since 1996.

I hope everyone is as excited as i am on getting out there and do some serious snipping,Folks `i hope to meet a lot of you this season prospecting , With in a few miles driving around i noticed probably 15 slide's and to me that tells me there's going to be a hole lot of gold layed in creeks and gulches.So let's go get it....
