These two were so fun to have in the boat. Grandpa was enjoying the endless strikes from hungry bass, while Cooper got acquainted with the fly rod. He is a total natural and was impressing me, along with everyone else out there! Nothing incredibly big, but numbers were worth bragging about. Great trip fellas!

If you want to book a trip with Misty Mountains this fall, I regret to inform you that you are out of luck! I’ve been booked out until January for over a month now. If you want to fish with me, you need to get that deposit in EARLY. A $100 deposit gets your name on my calendar, no matter how early. Don’t hesitate if you’re thinking about it.

My fly sales go NUTS. I’m just being honest🤷‍♂️😉
My goal has always been to have a good back stock for customers & clients to select from. Lately, it’s been everything I can do to keep an inventory. I’m basically out! Thank you all for that! What this means going forward is I’m now totally on an order based system. To keep things fair, I’m going to give notice to a fly (or flies) I’m going to be tying a batch of. If you want in on any number of that fly, put in your order.
I know there are a few of you out there waiting on flies. I haven’t forgotten you! My list just gets bigger and bigger and I need to make things a little more manageable.
To start, I’m doing big batches of size 1/0 Bendback Clousers. Perfect for when you need a truly weedless fly. Ideal for smallmouth and 12+” trout. I’m doing Grey over white, olive, black, and the sucker color shown.

Caught and released. Hopefully a kid catches this fish next time and it makes their day. I love and advocate for my wild native sport fish here in the Ozarks, but I sure do enjoy some stocked trout fishing from time to time as well!

Available dates are dwindling. This is all I have open from now until after Rifle Deer season in MO, (Thanksgiving week for all of you non hunters). If you’re thinking about a Trout, Smallmouth, or Carp trip, reach out as soon as you can. The way things are going this year, these dates WILL NOT last.
