CLOSED TODAY for Memorial Day Monday

Sadly, the heavy rains and thunderstorms are hanging around longer than we would like; therefore, for the safety of the animals and our guests, we will be closed today.

We will reopen for business tomorrow 10:30 AM.

We apologize for any inconvenience. This may have calls and we hope you have a safe memorial day holiday.

$9 per person for the petting/walk thru zoo and the 50+ smaller creatures in the gift shop!

Due to almost five inches of rain in the last 24 hours, we will keep the drive thru closed today. HOWEVER-we will offer the petting/walk thru zoo and gift shop animals for your viewing and fun at a cost of $9 per person (child or adult).

Throughout those areas there are reptiles, parrots, kangaroo, monkeys, sheep, goats, baby bison, baby highland, peacocks, coatis, ponies (and their new baby who is about one week old), mjni donkeys, emu, pot belly pigs and alpaca just to name a few.

Due to the chance of rain later in the afternoon as well as tomorrow, hours may vary. Please call ahead to confirm that we are open.

Nature never ceases to amaze me.

Here we have a male Rhea protecting his nest. He has sat here through massive storms the past 24 hours but he knows his job and that’s to protect the nest.

If you watch until the end, he can tell he didn’t have all of the eggs underneath him and covered when he laid down so he tried to adjust the eggs. He got them just the way he wanted them and he laid down again only for the ostrich to walk his way. He didn’t budge but he did give her a big hiss as if to say,” don’t even think about it!”
