The Louisiana Oyster Trail is the first public art project designed to promote Louisiana oysters and seafood through the Louisiana Tourism Recovery Program and the Jefferson Convention and Visitors Bureau. This marketing campaign is to promote participating restaurants and their signature oyster dish to locals and visitors alike. Each business will receive a three foot oyster sculpture to be desig

ned by a local artist and displayed outside the business. Each oyster has been uniquely themed and conceptualized by the restaurant owner and artist. The campaign will consist of the art sculpture, a printed brochure, internet marketing, and a televised launch this fall. If you are a restaurant owner and interested in participating in the Louisiana Oyster Trail contact [email protected] or call 504-731-7083 for more information. We are continuing to accept artist applications. The name of the featured artist will be displayed on the oyster and in all printed materials. This project is strictly voluntary with no financial compensation. If you are interested in participating email [email protected]

Have you taken a trip down the - sponsored by Urban South Brewery

Oysters, both plentiful and affordable, are as much a part of Louisiana culinary culture as the crawfish. Over seventy percent of oysters harvested in the US are from the gulf with the majority coming from Louisiana waters.

Whether you’re an oyster aficionado or you have an adventurous palate, the Oyster Trail located in is an experience to savor!

Make sure to feast your eyes on each restaurant’s life-size 3-foot tall oyster sculpture, hand-painted by a local artist. Perfect for a photo opp.

Did you know citrus and oysters are a perfect match? It’s not just tradition, there’s science behind it.

The acidity in citrus cuts through the richness of oysters, bringing out their natural brininess and making every bite feel even fresher.

That’s why we love Urban South Brewery's new flavors with fruit-forward flavors. The bright, crisp notes play really well with everything from raw oysters to chargrilled.

Next time you're out on the Louisiana Oyster Trail, consider pairing your plate with something citrusy. You might be surprised how much it enhances the experience!

🦪 In Jefferson Parish’s own Grand Isle, Louisiana’s only public oyster hatchery is working hard to protect the future of our coast and seafood culture.

As challenges grow for our oyster farmers, this hatchery offers hope for the , and a lifeline for the next generation of Gulf oysters.
