Board Member Monday: Jeremy Doucet
A proud resident of Jennings and graduate of Jennings High School and McNeese State University, Jeremy has dedicated the past 28 years to education. He began his teaching career in Jeff Davis Parish before moving into administration/Child Welfare and Attendance in Calcasieu Parish.
Jeremy has been actively involved in the Jennings and Jeff Davis Parish community since his teenage years. Throughout the years, he has coached little league baseball, served as a youth director at his church, and coached his daughters’ basketball, soccer, and baseball teams.
Jeremy and his wife, Christel, recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. Together, they have two daughters, Cate and CeeCee, and are proud members of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church.
Jeremy accepted his appointment to the Tourism Board because of his deep belief in the future of Jennings and Jeff Davis Parish. “Located in the heart of Cajun Country, Jeff Davis Parish shares its rich culture and uniqueness with travelers through its beautiful rice fields, famous crawfish, vibrant traditions, and so much more that reflect the spirit of South Louisiana.” He is passionate about creating opportunities that encourage younger generations to stay in the area after high school and inspire college graduates to return home, helping keep the parish vibrant, growing, and prosperous for years to come.
