These two fellas received some treats today from our friends at . Thank you all who have stopped by, dropped off meals and continue to pray for a full and speedy recovery. More tests and doctor visits tomorrow but we are on the mend. ❤️‍🩹

We’re counting our blessings today and saying extra prayers of gratitude that Capt. Jamie is alive and healing. Yesterday was terrifying — rough following seas caused the boat he was on to lurch, and Jamie was thrown from the bridge while running in from fishing offshore.

By the grace of God, he escaped with just broken ribs, nerve damage in his shoulder and bumps and bruises. It could have been so much worse, and we’re incredibly grateful it wasn’t.

We’re deeply thankful for the quick actions of everyone on board who pulled him in safely, the kind first responders who were waiting on the dock when they returned, and the incredible team at MUSC.

Please keep the entire crew in your thoughts, especially Jamie and Hudson, as they continue to process what was a truly traumatic day.

This same type of accident happened to another captain a few years back, and it is not lost on us the pain his friends and family endured, and we recognize how incredibly lucky we are. This Easter weekend is extra special for our family.

Life is fragile. Hug your people a little tighter today. Thank you to everyone who has reached out. Your messages, prayers, and kind words have meant the world.

The silver lining? Jamie lived to tell the tale — and if you know him, you know how much he loves to tell a story.

We’ll be back on the water soon — just need a little time to heal up.

Help us, help our neighbors. As boaters and fishermen, most of us have experienced the relief provided after a tropical storm or hurricane. The mountains of North Carolina were not prepared (and not sure they could have been) for what they have experienced. The region is devastated and they need urgent help. The destruction is equivalent to Hurricane Dorian and what that storm did to the Bahamas. Please join us in supporting WNC. Our family and friends live there. Our roots are from there. This is deeply personal and we’re committed to doing everything we can to help those in need. Thank you for any and all support you can give. 💔🙏
