Instead, come out for Labor Day Weekend in Johnson City!

Take advantage of the three-day weekend to add a little road trip and a little exploration and a little whimsy to the start of your fall.

Book a local short-term rental to really soak in the small town atmosphere
Flex those outdoor exploration muscles by getting the kids out on kayaks at Pedernales River Nature Park
Grab a coffee at Johnson City Coffee Co. or a bite to eat at Fat Boy Burgers
Spend the afternoon shopping and exploring (we love Camp Bubba Antiques)
Wind up with dinner at Pecan Street Brewing then stroll over to The Local Bull for a nightcap and some friendly conversation

A visit to Johnson City feels a whole lot like finding your own new community.

One of our favorite examples - mahj at Pecan Street Brewing. Everyone’s welcome from local regulars to visitors in town for just a few days.

Recently some out-of-towners stopped in for a drink, found the mahjong game, and decided they loved it (and the craft cocktails, too!) so much that they’re coming back for another round!

Turns out we’re not the only ones who think W**e Jam is a big deal.

Texas W**e Jam just landed on USA Today’s list of the 10Best W**e Festivals in America — #9 in the country, to be exact. We’ve watched this thing grow into one of the best days on our calendar, and now the rest of the country’s caught on too.

Thank you to everyone who voted these last few weeks. It made a real difference.
