Christmas at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, North Carolina, is one of the most beautiful holiday experiences in the Blue Ridge Mountains! Built in 1913, this historic stone resort comes alive with more than 80 decorated Christmas trees, glowing lights, beautiful wreaths, and garland throughout the property. Inside the grand lobby, two massive 36-foot-wide stone fireplaces, comfortable seating areas, and towering Christmas trees make it feel like something from a Christmas movie. You'll also find an enormous gingerbread house modeled after the resort, a longtime holiday favorite. One of the biggest attractions is the 34th Annual National Gingerbread House Competition, with amazing edible creations displayed throughout the hotel from November 17, 2026, through January 3, 2027. You can also enjoy seasonal drinks, holiday dining, and beautiful mountain views from the terrace. Christmas celebrations include visits with Santa, cookie decorating, festive music, and a Christmas Eve Yule Log Ceremony. Non-overnight guests can view the gingerbread displays Monday through Thursday and Sundays after 6 PM, except on designated blackout dates. Parking is $35 per vehicle, and reservations are recommended for holiday dining during the busy season.
