Last night, we celebrated our Northeast Arkansas Hunter Education and Boater Education instructors with good food, fellowship, and gifts to show our appreciation for their dedication to Arkansas.

With years of service ranging from those just getting started to more than 40 years, these instructors have made a lasting impact on their communities by teaching the importance of safety, ethics, and responsible outdoor recreation.

We had some true Hunter Education giants in the room. Marty Wynn, Chuck Long, Marcel Hanzlik, and Homer Lenderman have each dedicated more than 30 years to educating the public and passing along the knowledge and values that help keep Arkansas outdoors safe for generations to come.

We are also incredibly grateful for the community sponsors who recognize the impact these instructors make and joined us in showering them with gifts. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make the evening special. Your generosity means so much.

A special thank-you to Biscuits and Grace Catering for providing a delicious meal!

To our Hunter Education and Boater Education instructors: Thank you for your years of service, your passion for teaching, and your continued commitment to Arkansas. Your impact reaches far beyond the classroom, and we are grateful for all you do!

Arkansas has long been known as one of the top locations for duck hunting in the country. On November 7th, learn how the state earned the title of the “Duck Capital of the World” throughout history and what impacts it has had on the local economy as we create floral arrangements out of retired duck decoys.
