Looks like Spirit Airlines is going to be starting flights to/from Belize City starting in November. While this doesn't have a direct impact on Alaska & west coast travelers to/from Belize - it WILL help reduce fares since Frontier pulled out and Southwest has reduced service.

Talk to us to start planning your end of Alaska season vacation!

Greetings from Barcelona on the . An unusual new "rules" image is making its way around social media and some of it hasn't made sense - so we did some digging due to its increased traction on social media.

First off, if you've seen this image, its a fake. There are two typos and fake info in this image. It is NOT an official Carnival Corp image.

We've checked and double checked our Knowledge Center and many of these items are not addressed - which they WOULD BE, if they were in fact true policy (remember the Princess Plus/Premier charge for canned soda rule - the one that's been in place for over a year but NOT enforced... yeah).

Line by line, here ARE the rules:

1. Guests 17 years of age and under who are not accompanied by an adult in their traveling party, 21 years of age or older, must be clear of all public areas by 1:00am. (this has been around for a while)

2. Minor Policy for Bookings Created February 1, 2025 and Onward
Guests are required to be 21 years of age (on embarkation day) to travel on their own. Guest ages will be verified at embarkation. Guests not conforming to this policy will result in denied boarding and no compensation will be provided at embarkation. For additional minor age restriction guidelines while on board, click here.

Guests 20 years of age and younger MUST travel with a relative or guardian 25 years of age or older (guardian does not need to be a legal guardian).
Minors cannot be booked under TBA offers; cabin numbers must be assigned.
Guests who are 21 to 24 years of age may travel with their minor children.

*NOTE this is from FEBRUARY - this is not due to

3. Fan Ban - not an official rule, but a request by DJs and Cruise Directors. It is NOT listed in BANNED or PROHIBITED ITEMS.

4. Pool Chair Rule - Shipboard team members, the ‘ChairShare Team’ monitor sun lounger usage and if they observe a seat that contains a towel or personal belongings (flip-flops, books, etc.) but appears to be unoccupied, a sticker is placed on the chair indicating the time the sticker was placed and when personal items will be removed. If the chair remains unoccupied for 40 minutes, the contents are removed and held for the guest’s safekeeping. This is from FEB 22, 2024!

5. Disruptive Guest/Code of Conduct - this was updated in May of 2025

6. MUST check-in online by midnight - nope. You can still check-in at the terminal, up to 1 hour prior to departure. And you've *always* had to bring proof of citizenship to travel.

Go and enjoy your Carnival cruise - its STILL the fun ship. But just because they're toning down some music played at sail-away and not offering rap/R&B with some racy lyrics and cuss words does not mean that Carnival is racist, by any means.

COVID-19 and Tourism for The Yukon and Southeast

AYT is gearing up during this COVID crisis to offer a hand in helping tourists return, when its safe, to our homes of The Yukon and Southeast Alaska. We aren’t in this for a quick buck - we want to offer a quality, and SAFE environment to share with others. We understand that big ship cruises are not going to happen this year, so the next best thing we can offer are independent offerings if and when Alaska & The Yukon allow. But only when its safe. Our goal is to share our home with the world - and show them a side of The Yukon & Alaska they can’t see from their cruise ship or short excursion. Our tour packages will allow our guests to see The Yukon & Alaska on their time - with well timed excursions and offerings that are not reliant on a cruise ship schedule. Plus, there’s way too many cool things to do in Juneau, Skagway, and Whitehorse to only spend 5 to 8 hours in each city, why not spend a few days? Our packages will be well thought out, and using only trusted vendors that won’t be cramming you into a tiny bus with 50 other people. Your welcome kit in Juneau will also come with medical-grade face masks, hand hankies (so you don’t have to touch anything), and sanitizer.

So please be patient as we build our programs - your adventure awaits you. And it will still be here once COVID has long passed.
