The experience was amazing! Our guides were great and very entertaining. Stopping at Black Rock to jump off was an additional benefit. We will definitely be back next time we are in Maui

Best adventure on Maui
If you are looking for an exciting adventure on Maui this is a must. Jeni and Jamie give over the top Aloha experience. The knowledge that is shared on each adventure is an added benefit. You will not meet friendlier people on the island. No need to be in great shape as this adventure is easy for most anyone. I would definitely not miss this experience as we have been to Maui 13 times and this has been our greatest experience ever. We have gone out multiple times and will continue to go each time we go to Maui.

Best Maui experience
During our February annual visit to Ka'anapali we always look forward to our Outrigger Canoe ride with Ali'i Maui Outrigger Canoes. We have so many fantastic memories of riding the waves, even the Big Eddie, watching the whales respectfully close, enjoying the large turtles and hearing the professional team of guides tell the cultural stories of Maui. It's an adventure I will take until I am no longer able to hop into the canoe, (at 95, I hope). Jamie and Jeni are consistent with their fabulous Aloha customer service as is their entire team. We are always so welcomed on our return, Ohana. Can't wait to return in Feb. 2020. Mahalo, a hui hou

Amazing Experience
We've done this tour twice now and it will be on our must-do list every time we're on the island. It't a fantastic way to experience the water, see the island, sea life and learn about Hawaiian culture. The guides are clearly passionate about sharing their love for the water and paddling. You won't regret it!

Outrigger canoe ride - lifetime experience
Called Jamie on a Friday afternoon, looking to accommodate Dad's (81 years old) wish for an outrigger canoe ride. Problem was we were leaving Maui Saturday at 11am check-out.. Jamie said he is closed on the weekend, but once I explained we had three generations ready to ride he made an exception!

Two canoes ready for us at 7:45am the next day, six people, including two seniors. Dad appreciated the assistance getting in and out of the tight canoe. Not an issue for the rest of us, and we are by no means Olympic athletes!

Jamie pointed out a barracuda chasing a fish along the shoreline, jumping out at a high rate of speed, that would have been enough for wildlife except...

We saw some whales off in the distance and paddled out in the general direction. Jamie gave us lots of info about local history and his very large ohana. The canoes move gracefully through the water, and everybody can help paddling if they're able.

Suddenly a mother and calf came into view, along with a male es**rt a bit farther away. They came right at our canoe, and we just stayed there for ten minutes while they played all around us. Can't really give enough words.

We left to do some paddling down the shore, all of us (including Jamie and the other Hawaiian paddlers) enthralled by what we just witnessed.

We ran into other canoes practicing for the outrigger race season beginning in April. Jamie knew them all, and we talked for awhile and raced for about two seconds before they pulled away.

After that we headed back to shore, never to forget this experience. I can't recommend this company enough, but especially if it's whale season and you get lucky enough to see what we did.

Amazing time surrounded by a pod of dolphins
Kaanapali beach outrigger canoe excursion for about 1 and a half hours. Our family of four had a new yellow outrigger canoe along with the two experienced guide/rowers. the entire trip was interspersed with information on local culture, places to eat, and personal antidotes about our crew. The highlight was the large number of dolphin all around our canoe very early in our trip. We also went around Black Rock, a lava flow that extends into the Pacific and watched people dive from several points. A real plus, very good exercise, family time and beatufil weather

Best activity in Maui!
As a frequent visitor to Maui, we've tried just about every activity, but this is THE BEST! The owner and his family did an excellent job of teaching us how to crew the canoe as well as teach us about the whales and Maui. Kupa'a (aka Jose and the owner) was hysterical while still being professional and responsible. We saw far more whales than on our whale watch tour and much closer.

FANTASTIC TOUR!
