Here’s what summer here actually sounds like: screen door swinging, somebody calling everyone down for dinner, the slap of wet feet from the pool, waves doing their thing just past the lawn.

We have a few open weeks left this year. Not many families know about this house, except the ones that keep coming bank year-after-year. That’s kind of the point, and also why the calendar stays full.

Room for everyone. 🫶 Four oceanfront master suites each appointed with king beds meant the grandparents claimed the downstairs suites, while both sets of parents settled into their upstairs sanctuaries. All with built in natural sound machines, courtesy of the peaceful Hawaiian ocean waves of course.

The kids claimed the remaining two bedrooms, each with a full and single bed, turning them into jungle forts by night two. The cousins basically moved into the pool from sun-up to sun-down. And somehow, every single evening, all twelve of them ended up back at the same long patio table overlooking the sea.

That’s the quiet magic of a house built for all of you. Everyone gets their own corner. Nobody actually wants to be in it. 🤍

🤎 Run your hand along this railing and you’re touching a decision someone made thirty years ago. 🤲🏽

Every door, every staircase, every carved panel was brought over in Indonesian wood and placed by hand. They don’t make them like this anymore, not here, not anywhere close.

It’s the kind of craftsmanship you don’t just see. You feel it the moment you walk in. 🫶

She was built by hand in the 90’s and finished in 2000, board by board, with wood carried across the ocean from Indonesia.

Look closely and you’ll see it: the grain in the staircase, the carving on a door someone chose on purpose, the kind of detail no one builds anymore because nobody has the patience.

Some houses are constructed.

This one was made.

We just get to share her.

Opening your eyes to the sound of waves, stepping outside, and seeing nothing but blue water stretching out in front of you. Just the ocean breeze, the peaceful view, and a slow Maui morning.
