After three decades of proudly servicing the Hawaii travel industry by providing quality and deeply rooted cultural Hawaiian experiences, Island Partners Hawaiʻi (IPH) is being integrated into their parent company, MC&A.

The transition represents an exciting new chapter for Island Partners Hawaii and MC&A. Over the years, IPH has been proud to offer unique opportunities for guests to experience iconic aspects of Hawaiian culture, as taught and passed down by Hawaii kupuna (elders).

🌺 Happy King Kamehameha Day! 🌺

Today, we celebrate King Kamehameha the Great, the legendary monarch who united the Hawaiian Islands into the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi. His leadership and vision brought together Niʻihau, Kauaʻi, Oʻahu, Molokaʻi, Lānaʻi, Kahoʻolawe, Maui, and Hawaiʻi. 🌴👑

As a young chief, Kamehameha famously demonstrated his strength and destiny by lifting the Naha Stone, a feat that foretold his future as a great leader. In 1871, Kamehameha V established June 11 as a holiday to honor his grandfather, and today, it’s celebrated with cultural festivities, parades, and hula competitions.

Join us in embracing the aloha spirit and commemorating the history and culture of Hawaii. 🌟

🌺 Today, we commemorate the enduring legacy of Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalaniana'ole, a true Hawaiian icon whose impact on the islands continues to shape our community and culture. 🏝️ From his tireless advocacy for Native Hawaiian rights to his instrumental role in modernizing Hawaii's infrastructure, Prince Kūhiō's contributions are woven into the very fabric of Hawai'i's history. 🌟

One of his most notable achievements is the establishment of the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act in 1921, which sought to provide land for Native Hawaiians to live, farm, and thrive. 🏡

Additionally, Prince Kūhiō's dedication to conservation led to the creation of the Hawaiʻi National Park bill in 1916, which sought to establish a Hawaiʻi National Park covering land on Kīlauea and Mauna Loa on the Big Island, and Haleakalā on Maui. 🌋 His vision and leadership continue to inspire us to protect and preserve Hawaii's unique environment.

On this Prince Kūhiō Day, we honor his remarkable legacy by embracing his values of aloha, resilience, and service to our community. 🤙

The recent wildfires have left their mark on our beautiful island, but we remain grateful that our team is safe and now focused on helping our beloved community rebuild and heal.

Today is Kamehameha Day!

King Kamehameha Day is celebrated annually on June 11th. Kamehameha was a Hawaiian alii who unified the Hawaiian Islands in 1810, establishing a kingdom that lasted for generations. Born around 1758, he implemented a code of laws, promoted trade, and fostered peaceful relations with foreign powers. His iconic statue in Honolulu symbolizes his enduring impact on the culture and people of Hawaii. Festivities include parades, cultural events, hula performances, and the draping of flower leis on statues of King Kamehameha.
