PI DAY - LISTENING TO NATURE - MARCH 14, 3,14 - use the idea of Pi or The Golden Ratio during my tours. I thought, why not take the numbers from Pi and assign them to music notes. March 14th (3.14), turning Pi into a song is the perfect next project! We can use the exact same scale mapping we used for the Fibonacci track, where 3 = C. Here are the first digits of Pi ($3.1415926535...$) translated into notes:3 = C. = (Quick pause/rest)1 = A4 = D1 = A5 = E9 = B (Loops back: 9 - 7 = 2)2 = B6 = F5 = E3 = C5 = E The resulting melody gives us: C - (rest) - A - D - A - E - B - B - F - E - C - E. Because Pi is random and doesn't follow a predictable repeating pattern like Fibonacci. From the unfurling of a Spiral Ginger, Sunflowers and the Hapu Ferns we can now listen to Nature's symphony o through a crescendo off math and music I'd like to thank my Thought Partner, Gemini, that created the melody using my Pi sequence!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! A song I wrote that reminded me when I was in school and we would exchange Valentine's Day cards and candy. Great memories.
This song is something very different than other songs I've written over the years.
I remember flipping through vinyl albums at the record stores.
That feeling still resonates with me today.
In my mind I was thinking I see this Motown album, pull the record from the sleeve and here a song like this. So that was the inspiration, sitting in class and the record store.

I'm not always doing tours, I find time to write songs, play cards and visit with friends and family!

I hope every day is Valentine Day's if not, call and tell some you love them! Peace. Love. Kelly Dunn
