🚨 NEWS FROM UNIVERSAL VOLCANO BAY WATERPARK 🚨

Beginning October 1, 2025, the TapuTapu wearable and virtual line will no longer be available. Guests will be able to access attraction queues at their leisure, rather than tapping into a virtual line and waiting elsewhere. I personally LOVED Tapu Tapu, and thought this feature was what made this waterpark so special!

Volcano Bay will also begin a seasonal closure on October 26, 2026, with a reopening date on or before March 24, 2027.

I’ll be interested to see what (if any) changes and improvements are made to this park in the next couple of years! We’ve always had so much fun here.

Tip Tuesday!

Did you know that you can mail postcards or letters from Main Street USA in Magic Kingdom? It’s true! We filled out our postcards in the hotel, stamped them, and had them ready to go when we got to the park.

IMPORTANT TIP: If you go straight to the mailbox with them, they will just have an Orlando postmark. However, if you stop in Guest Relations right behind the mailbox, you can use a special Magic Kingdom stamp to fancify your mail!

Happy , friends!

One of the coolest things about our standard view room at Disney’s Riviera Resort was the view of the fireworks! We could see EPCOT’s Luminous from our balcony, as well as Magic Kingdom’s Happily Ever After (in the distance, not like staying at a monorail resort!).

FAQ Friday!

“Should we get Park Hopper at Walt Disney World?”

First- the basics: a base admission ticket will allow you entry into one Walt Disney World theme park per day, and a Park Hopper lets you visit multiple parks in one day. These parks include Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.

I always say that a Park Hopper ticket is like insurance. Maybe you don’t think you’ll hop. But also- maybe your day at Magic Kingdom is a washout, and you wish you had another chance to see fireworks or the parade. Or maybe EPCOT is wall to wall crowds, and you want to go somewhere else. Maybe your kiddo wants to repeat a favorite attraction. There are lots of valid reasons for having a Park Hopper ticket!

And if you’re sure you’ll only visit each park once and don’t need your ticket to be flexible, then a base admission ticket would likely be fine for your family.

Either way, you’re sure to have a great time exploring the Walt Disney World theme parks! Are you a Hopper family, or do you prefer to visit one park per day?

I know I have no chill whatsoever, but how cute is baby Tucker stepping out into the Animal Kingdom Safari for the first time?! Giraffes are adorable in general, but he’s practically the same size as the zebra! 🥹

Despite what seems like a small stature, newborn calves are typically around six feet tall and 150 pounds. They’re also born with their eyes wide open! 😳

Are you a giraffe fan? I love them!

❤️🏰 Just Booked! 🏰❤️

The "K" Family just booked a Walt Disney World Vacation Package for March of 2026! Staying at Disney's All Star Music Resort in a Family Suite, they’re excited to tour the parks with base admission theme park tickets.

The All Star resorts are a great place to stay when you want a fun theme for a great price! I especially love the value of the Family Suites, which offer such perks as a separate bedroom, two bathrooms, and even a full size fridge.

Happy Earth Day, friends!

Did you know: Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park opened on Earth Day in 1998! Here are a few fun facts about this beautiful park.

- More than 500 acres act as home to approximately 250 species of animals here.
- The only continent not represented in the Animal Kingdom vegetation is Antarctica. More than 4 million trees, plants, shrubs, ground-covers, vines, epiphytes and grasses from every other continent on Earth were planted.
- The 145 ft tall Tree of Life is not a real tree; it took the Imagineers and artists 18 months to create the 325 animal carvings on The Tree of Life out of plaster.
- The largest REAL tree in the park is in Harambe Village; the replanted tree came in around 90 tons!
- Since 1995, the Disney Conservation Fund has directed $132 million to save wildlife, inspire action and protect the planet.

2026 packages for Walt Disney World are coming, beginning tomorrow! A unique new offering for families will be available for travel next year.

✔️ Walt Disney World vacation bookings for 2026 will become available starting April 22.
🍊 As a special offering for 2026, guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel will get a free dining plan for their kids (ages 3-9) when purchasing a dining plan with their package for others in their party (ages 10 and up).
🏢 Disney Resort hotel guests may continue to enjoy early theme park entry, complimentary transportation, free parking, early access to dining reservations, and other perks.

Okay… nobody panic, let’s act cool — I scored an invite to a sneak peek of Epic Universe at Universal Orlando on May 9th! 🫠

That’s right, I’ll be strolling through brand-new lands, screaming on rides no one’s ridden yet, and probably crying happy tears over cartoon-themed snacks. (So much for acting cool.)

Happy ! Meet our Disney dog, Copper. He is a spunky corgi mix (dad is a corgi, mom is a poodle/terrier mix we think) that we adopted in November. Hard to see, but he’s wearing a cute Winnie the Pooh bandana here, too!
