Today is the last day to ride the Liberty Square Riverboat and visit Tom Sawyer Island at Magic Kingdom. These attractions will close permanently tomorrow, July 7th, to make way for the new Cars expansion to Frontierland.

It’s Fun Friday! What are some fun 4th of July offerings at Walt Disney World? I’m here to tell you about them! Whether you’re in Disney this year or want to plan a trip for next summer, it’s an enjoyable time to be in the parks.

🎆 At Magic Kingdom, see the fan-favorite “Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky”! Available on July 3 and 4 at 9:20 p.m., this 360-degree fireworks show fills the skies above Cinderella Castle with red, white and blue. After the fireworks, make sure to check out the DJ dance parties around the park!

🎇 Over at EPCOT, daytime fun on July 4th brings special photo opportunities with your favorite patriotic pals Mickey, Goofy, Pluto and Chip ‘n’ Dale at The American Adventure. The nighttime spectacular “Luminous the Symphony of Us” is followed by a ”Heartbeat of Freedom” – a sparkling grand finale blending pyrotechnics with tributes to America’s history. Spaceship Earth will be illuminated in bright red, white and blue colors at night on July 4th, as well.

📷 From July 3rd to July 6th, celebrate Independence Day in style with limited-time Fourth of July-themed Disney PhotoPass Magic Shots across Walt Disney World Resort!

Are you a fireworks fan? The 4th of July fireworks at Disney World are next level!

Boyz II Men was one of my favorite concerts I’ve ever seen when I caught them last year; I wished I had watched more of their sets! If one of these bands is an absolute must see for you, I recommend booking the Festival Concert Series Dining Package for premium seating (like I had). Regardless, your “ticket” to the concert is included with your EPCOT admission! (Just note you may want to line up early if you want a seat for a popular performer and DON’T have a Dining Package.)

Is there a band on this list that you would love to see?

❤️ Where to Stay Wednesday! ❤️

The "T" Family has booked a Disneyland vacation package for later this summer! They’ll be staying at the classic Disneyland Hotel, with three days of Park Hopper tickets (including Lightning Lane Multipass).

Something I love about the three Disneyland resort hotels is the proximity! No matter which hotel you choose (Disneyland Hotel, Grand Californian, or Pixar Place Hotel) a Disneyland park is steps from your bed.

The walk from Disneyland Hotel to either Disneyland Park or California adventure is 10 to 15 minutes, or you can take the monorail into Disneyland!

The Disneyland Hotel also has a lot of great history; opening in October of 1955, it was the first hotel to officially bear the Disney name.

Thanks to the “T” family for letting me help plan your vacation this summer! 🫶

My not-so-little Disney kid is 11 today… looking through memories from her first trip at 3 to her most recent trip at nearly 11, there hasn’t been an age I regretted taking her. Every trip with her has been special, watching the magic through each age’s lens.

And I love that she will still wait around for the character bus to empty out so she can interact with whoever is on board! May she always have that magic inside of her. 🫶 Happy birthday, Kit.

My favorite Monday! My favorite animal on Kilimanjaro Safari at Animal Kingdom are the elephants. Now- I admit a little bias, because I am obsessed with baby Corra. She absolutely delights me when I see her running around! The giraffes may be a close second.

If you’re an elephant stan like me, you might consider adding the Caring for Giants tour to your next Disney vacation! This tour can be booked at 60 days out, and includes a tour guide who will answer all of your burning questions about elephants. While you can’t get close enough to touch them, you do get a dedicated space with a closer/different viewpoint of the beautiful creatures! The tour less about an hour, and they take you to the spot in a special Safari truck. It’s also one of the cheaper tours on Disney property at $39 + tax! I loved this tour.

What’s your favorite animal on the Safari?

Beignets at Port Orleans French Quarter at Walt Disney World are a must do snack when you’re staying there! These fluffy, deep-fried pastries are best served hot/warm; shake the bag to really get that powdered sugar distributed. Served with your choice of chocolate or caramel sauce (we loved the caramel best)!

When picking up beignets, S**t Cat’s Lounge is really the place to get them. Not staying at French Quarter? The walking path from Port Orleans Riverside is an easy way to reach the resort, or the boat from Disney Springs is also an option! Otherwise, you can always take a theme park bus (from Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, or Animal Kingdom) to any resort you’d like to visit. A great option for a midday break from the parks!

Happy 626 Day- a day where we celebrate all things Stitch (experiment 626)!

Are you a Stitch fan? We loved running into him at the “Characterpalooza” in EPCOT a couple of weeks ago! You can catch him as part of Walt Disney World’s Cool Kid Summer offerings at Magic Kingdom, where he’s leading the Galactic Blast dance party in Tomorrowland throughout the day. 💙

Your Tuesday tip! You really have to be in the right place at the right time, but if you can catch the “Characterpalooza” near World Showplace in EPCOT you’ll be rewarded with a random assortment of characters to meet!

Last week we were there around 3:30, and saw Captain Hook, Max, Stitch, Eeyore, King Louie, Donald Duck and Kit’s favorite- a random penguin from Mary Poppins. This event is really a training ground for Cast Members, and it’s such a delightful surprise when the gates open! They close the meet quickly, so you really have to move when you see it.

Have you caught one of these character sightings?

My favorite Monday!

My favorite nighttime show at Walt Disney World is Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom. I love the story, the colors, and especially the MUSIC! We did a Fireworks Dessert Party this trip to get a front and center view, and it was an excellent spot. This is a great way to see the show if you want to be close and enjoy some treats (but I still like the private cruise best)!

What’s your favorite nighttime spectacular: Happily Ever After, Luminous or Fantasmic?

We always like to bring home a few snacks from our trip to enjoy later, when we’re feeling sad. 🤣 The Riviera cookies are a fave- chocolate chip with pistachio, and some sea salt on top. You can only get these at the Riviera Resort, either as a single cookie or a box of four! I personally like these better than the Gideons cookies people wait in long lines for at Disney Springs.

We also like to fill our popcorn bucket the night before we leave, so we have a day or two to snack on it at home!

What’s your favorite Disney snack to bring home?
