Day 3 was absolutely breathtaking! Everywhere we looked were the most beautiful views! 😍 Not to mention getting to meet all of our favorite characters in their Alaska outfits! So fun! 🤩

Part 2 of our Disney Alaskan cruise series ❄️🛳️

This was our first day at sea and one of my favorite parts of cruising Alaska because you really get time to slow down and enjoy the scenery.

We did the Royal Gathering, Palo brunch (which I would 1000% recommend if you can get a reservation 👏), spent so much time sightseeing and ended the night at Tiana’s Place!

One thing I loved about Alaska on a cruise is that even the sea days don’t feel boring because everywhere you look there’s something beautiful to see or fun to do!

And next is glacier day… which might’ve been my favorite day of the whole trip so make sure you’re following along here!

This is one of my favorite Disney cruise tips if you’re trying to save money 👀 We booked an Oceanview GTY (guaranteed stateroom) last minute for our Alaskan cruise because it was one of the only room types left…BUT it ended up being the perfect reminder that if you’re flexible and okay being more last minute planning your cruise, they can save you a TON of money!

Instead of choosing your exact room location, Disney assigns it before sailing and honestly we’ve always had a great experience with it.

We loved having the oceanview, but if we did Alaska again and had more room options available, I honestly think I’d either:
Choose an inside room and save the extra money
OR
Fully splurge for a verandah

We spent SO much time out on the upper decks sightseeing anyway that the oceanview didn’t really feel worth the price jump for us personally. But I can absolutely see the appeal of having your own verandah in Alaska because the scenery is unreal 😍

So if Alaska feels out of budget, don’t rule it out before looking at GTY options first 👏

To really make the most of it, plan to arrive about 45 minutes before the posted time! That’s how you walk right onto rides while everyone else is still scanning in! 🎢
