These are three things that we often forget and can really use while traveling:

- Mini pharmacy. Always have the most basic medications with you because you never know if you will need them and if you will find a pharmacy where you are

- Portable battery. When we travel, we all like to take pictures and record a lot of things and it often happens that our battery runs out, so a power bank is a lifesaver

- Canvas bag or small backpack. It can be very helpful when you want to buy something at local stores or at the airport.

Here are 3 things no one tells you that you need to know:

- Zones and tickets. The standard metro ticket is only valid for Central Paris (Zone 1). If you’re traveling elsewhere, you’ll need to buy a ticket on the spot

- App. Download the official Bonjour RATP app before you arrive. It tracks the city in real time and you’ll know exactly where you’re going

- Carrying a suitcase on the metro. There are old metros in Paris, so if you have heavy luggage with you, be prepared to carry it by hand.
