Do you know why I love being a travel agent? Most people guess it is the travel opportunities, but for me, it is the people! In the past 10 years, I have worked with some of the nicest people. Knowing I help them create lasting memories with their friends and family is the reason I do what I do.
Story time…
In 2022, my good friends, Brad & Lori Buss were on a transatlantic cruise. They met a nice couple, Cathy & Randy Meyer. Brad shared my contact information with Cathy to help with future cruises. They never saw each other again on the ship. Luckily, Cathy reached out to me when she returned home to assist with a group cruise she was working on. She plans annual cruises for a retirement group she belongs to in their town of Conway, Arkansas.
Over the past 3 years, I have helped Cathy plan several cruises for her group and multiple personal vacations. I have loved getting to know her and her crew over the phone, but had never met them in person.
Earlier this month, they were sailing on the Celebrity Edge from Seattle to Alaska. Cathy and I planned a big surprise for me to meet them in Seattle for 2 days before they boarded the ship. I had the BEST time! It was so fun getting to put faces to voices and give them big hugs! We explored Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden & Glass Museum and ate lots of good food. The best part - I have 26 great friends that I can’t wait to see again!
