There is something we do on every trip.

We always find "the" spot.

A place where we can sit still, breathe, and replay the last few days like a movie. The smiles. The laughter. The conversations. The moments that didn't make it into photos. The lessons. The people. I let it all settle before we head home.

This time, that spot was the open field in Waimea Valley.

Casey and I just laid there, looking up, taking it all in.

Hawaiʻi is so much more than beautiful beaches. It's culture. It's patience. It's color. It's connection. It moves at a different pace, and somehow invites you to do the same. It feels like stepping into a movie with its own soundtrack, where every scene reminds you to slow down and simply be present.

One thing that especially stuck with me was the spirit of Aloha:

🤍 A – Akahai (Kindness)
🤍 L – Lōkahi (Unity)
🤍 O – ʻOluʻolu (Agreeableness)
🤍 H – Haʻahaʻa (Humility)
🤍 A – Ahonui (Patience)

Those aren't just words. They're a way of living.

I hope Hawaiʻi never loses that. And I hope we bring a little piece of it home with us.
