We love sharing our home with visitors and want them to have an enjoyable stay so we put together a welcome center.

In out welcome center we have a complete list of our house rules so there is no confusion. With the complete address and phone numbers for fire, hospital and doctors.

There is a complete list of all nearby stores and business. Town hall, Post office, doctors office, hardware, coffee shop, groceries and restaurants even local churches.

We have a list of local areas to swim and hike. Play ball, tennis or fly kites.

Restaurant menus, and farmers market info.

There are addresses and phone numbers so you can find your way there.

We also have a great little book for you to add your own adventure info to or just read what others have done.

We also have a section that has all the info needed to use any and all appliances and equipment in the rental.

We want your stay to be as carefree as possible.

Spectacular view of the eastern high peak region. Quiet place, at least during the winter. The host was very organized, which made check in/check out and our stay pleasant. The fire place and fire pit and decks were a great feature.

The Slides: Whiteface Mountain

If it was good enough for Olympians, Whiteface is probably good enough for you, too. The home to two Winter Olympics, Whiteface Mountain overlooks Lake Placid and Olympic Village. You can rest assure the skiing is world-class, but one run stands out among the rest: The Slides, which is a series chutes, glades and ice-covered waterfalls near the summit with the highest vertical drop in the east -- three times as tall as the Empire State Building. Take your time on this one. There is no man-made snow or grooming.
