Facebook says there are no memories for Finch Gardens today, but we distinctly remember doing things on this day in years past. 😂

You know… weeding, mowing, washing windows, planting, vacuuming, hauling mulch, chasing escaped garden hoses, and wondering whose idea it was to own property with this many plants in the first place. Apparently, none of that was memorable enough for Facebook’s official historical archives. 😏

🏡 The Guesthouse at Finch Gardens is a stand-alone, fully loaded, slightly magical little retreat all its own. Think woodstove, king-size bed, fully equipped kitchen & dining area, and double-wide sliding French doors opening onto a private patio. 🏡 The Boardinghouse at Finch Gardens is a shared home with three separate bedrooms and plenty of charm.

✨ The Master Suite occupies the entire upstairs and is generally reserved for longer stays by traveling professionals. Guests enjoy a private bath, desk area, sitting area, small balcony overlooking the gardens, large soaking tub, European-style shower, and lots of closet space. Basically… a whole peaceful sanctuary upstairs.

🌙 Downstairs, you’ll find the Moon Room and Fountain Room, ideal for shorter stays and weekend escapes. Guests share a bathroom along with the common living room, dining area, and kitchen spaces.

Haven’t posted much lately. Life has been life-ing. (Is that even a word? Probably not. But it should be.)

You know how it goes… trying to do everything, every day, all at once. Sometimes we just need to stop and smell the roses. Literally. 🌹

Take a deep breath. Quiet your mind for a minute. Sit in the sunshine. Listen to the birds. Let yourself pause before tackling the next thing on the never-ending list.

It’s the same here at Finch Gardens. Sometimes the flowers remind us that not everything needs to bloom all at once. 🌿✨

Let’s take a little ride in the wayback machine to over a decade ago here at Finch Gardens…

Back when it was all about the gardens, the nature, the great outdoors—and maybe a little less about things like comfy beds and fresh coffee in the morning. 🌿

Those roots are still here (literally), but these days our Guest House and Boarding House have taken center stage.

Funny how things evolve… and yet, somehow, the heart of the place never really changes.

Happy Earth Day from Finch Gardens! 🌎🌿

Just a few snapshots to remind us why we love and appreciate Mother Earth right here on our little slice of it.

It feels like this winter and spring have been less “seasons” and more… a personality disorder this year. 😏

I mean, we had summer in the middle of winter—bold choice, Mother Nature!—and the wildflowers basically said, “Well, that was fun,” and wrapped it up early.

Now suddenly we’re back to actual spring… you know, April showers, cooler temps, the whole “this makes sense” vibe. Finally.

Of course, some of you ambitious overachievers planted your veggie gardens early. So… how’d that go when the freezes came back like an unwanted sequel? 😬

At the end of the day, gardeners (just like farmers) can plan, prep, and do everything right… and the weather still laughs and does whatever it wants.

Meanwhile, the weeds? Thriving. Absolutely thriving. Living their best life no matter what chaos is happening. 🙄
