We are finally seeing some progress! The drywall is finished and painting is almost complete! Funny how different the house feels when you can't see through the walls any more.

At this rate, I'm feeling confident we can begin taking visit requests to stay in our Caribou Cabin guest house for next summer!

Last weekend we went halibut fishing! We were one of the first boats out for the season, and managed to catch 3 of our 4 halibut limit, as well as our limit of 4 cod. The cod were really biting, but we released most of them. Oh, and Alan caught a skate (which we also released)! When he was pulling it up, we thought he had a huge halibut on the line, but it wasn't to be.

This was a new place to fish for us, and it was a little different because the boats are shore launched by these huge tractors. It was a fun adventure! And we finally have some halibut in our freezer again! We ended up with 15.3 lbs of halibut and 7.7 lbs of cod.

And then Alan and I were back to staining! We stained all the tongue and groove wood for the ceiling in the foyer, great room, and bedroom, which slides in behind the timbers. Here's the process, and the final result. Beautiful!
