As summer comes to an end, here’s a great opportunity for residents to apply to be the City’s Christmas Tree Donor!
Visitors and residents alike can mark their calendars for Friday, November 27. The annual City of Kenosha Tree Lighting Ceremony and festivities will “lightin’ up” the downtown district on a day otherwise known as Black Friday! 🎄🎅
🎄 Could your tree become Kenosha’s Christmas tree?
The City of Kenosha is looking for a special conifer or evergreen at least 30 feet tall to serve as this year’s community Christmas tree.
If you have a tree on your city property that you think would make a great Christmas tree, consider submitting it for consideration!
🌲 Requirements:
• Conifer or evergreen
• At least 30 feet tall
• Accessible for city crews to safely remove
If selected, the city will remove the tree and grind the stump. In the spring, the city will also add grass seed to the area where the tree was removed.
And there's a special perk: If your tree is chosen, you will be an invited guest at the city’s Lightin’ Up celebration and Christmas tree lighting on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2026.
